Support for New Yahoo Panama Search Platform

Yahoo has begun to give a limited set of U.S. advertisers the option to upgrade their accounts to the new Yahoo Panama search platform. You will be shown this option when you log into your Yahoo Account. Details can be found on Yahoo.

SearchForce has been working with Yahoo and we are on track to support Panama in February 2007 when Yahoo makes it available for general distribution. Please wait to upgrade your Yahoo account until February so that you can continue to use SearchForce features to manage your Yahoo account.

If you have any concerns about the timeline, please email me directly at onilATsearchforce.com.

1.3.1.03 Release Announcement

The latest version of SearchForce went into production over the weekend. While this was primarily a maintenance release, it includes the following features:

  • Bid Strategy Improvements: The Bid Strategy auto bidding infrastructure has been upgraded. In the UI, you will notice that the parameters have been standardized across the Bid Strategies. We have also introduced two new parameters to give you additional control:
    • Bid Update Frequency will control the algorithmic bid update frequency. This parameter is useful for conserving quota. For existing Bid Strategies, the Bid Update Frequency is set to “Every Other Day” by default.
    • A Maximum Bid parameter has been added to the “Traffic” based Bid Strategy. It will be set to zero by default and you will need to update it to the desired maximum bid.
  • Terms of Service: We have incorporated our Terms of Service in electronic form into the SearchForce application. The next time you login, you will be prompted to accept the Terms of Service. Please contact Lawson Deng (ldengATsearchforce.com) if you have any questions about this change.

Once again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve your paid search needs.
